We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

Title: Information, Communication and Technology Teacher

Responsibilities
Classroom Management responsibilities:

  • Ensure a physically and emotionally safe environment for students through positive framing, kind communication with students and adults, and predictable, consistent routines.
  • Use classroom and behavioral management strategies that are positive, structured, consistent, respectful, and responsive to student needs, to build a safe, orderly, inclusive, and positive classroom community.
  • Use a wide array of data to make instructional choices and create specific action plans to increase student achievement, including dynamic student grouping for small group instruction.
  • Utilize an effective approach to behavior management, time management, classroom organization and appearance, planning, teaching, and monitoring learning.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of inquiry and give students choices to show their understanding.
  • Encourage students to interact and work cooperatively with others and engage all students in activities. 
  • Promote independence and employ strategies to recognize and reward achievement of self-reliance.
  • Respect all deadlines set out by the PYP Coordinator and the Head teacher and keep proper documentation.

Curriculum related responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute and assess ICT learning within the agreed school ICT curriculum framework collaboratively with the PYP Coordinator and class teachers.
  • Write and implement learning objectives that are challenging and measurable.
  • Ensure that all aspects of the IB PYP continuum are fully integrated into all learning including the Approaches to Learning, the IB Learner profile and Voice, Choice and Ownership.
  • Prepare teaching and learning documents in line with the school policy
  • Provide the materials necessary to class teachers including but not limited to, input to weekly plans, contributions to unit planners and portfolio materials.

ICT Support Roles:

  • Support the Logistics and Technology Officer on production of the of the school newsletter.
  • Support the Logistics and Technology Officer on Maintaining the school’s online presence.
  • Manage the school Learning Management System (Toddle) supporting the Logistics and Technology Officer.
  • Manage the school’s ICT equipment on a day-to-day basis.
  • Provide necessary technical support to class teachers including but not limited to, preparation of Celebrations of Learning, virtual visits, online learning, online training.
  • Liaise with IITA ICT Unit on issues relating to school ICT equipment.

  • Use all school resources effectively with appropriate consideration of financial and environmental impact of all decisions with particular attention to IITA’s commitment to build an ecologically sound future that takes into account the issues of climate change.
  • Be responsible for communicating effectively with external stakeholders as parents on the individual progress of students through all means used at The International School of IITA. This includes but is not limited to being responsible for: report cards, parent meetings upon school’s or parents’ request.
  • Take on active supervision during scheduled duties.
  • Maintain confidentiality of privileged information about students, faculty members, and administration.
  • Coordinate appropriate and ongoing displays of student work.
  • Read and properly use the IB guidelines for PYP.
  • Perform any other related-task as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a B.Sc / HND in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field, with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in an international school approved by an international school’s association or body (e.g IBO, CIE, AISEN, COBIS, CIS, AISA).

Competencies:
The ideal candidate must:

  • Have good communication skill (writing, reading and speaking)
  • Have ability to teach children.
  • Ability to teach ICT to both Primary and Secondary level.

Title: Senior Cook / Steward
Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to commis and intern.
  • Oversees and organizes section stock and ingredients
  • Works with the sous chef and senior cook to maintain kitchen organization.
  • Washing, peeling, chopping, cutting and assist in cooking food stuffs and helping to prepare salads as may be required.
  • Prepare days’ specials.
  • Consistently ensure high standard and that excellent levels of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained at all times.
  • Support staff throughout the shift to maintain speed of food prep and cleanliness of kitchen.
  • Liaise with shift supervisor to resolve problems and ensure great food prep and service.
  • Ensure high standards of health and safety are maintained at all times.
  • Work outside normal office hours, in the evening, Public holidays and weekends and as when required to meet the demands and nature of the business.

Requirements

  • National Diploma in Hospitality and Management.
  • Trade test Certificate in Hotel and Catering Management.
  • Home economics or related field with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.

Title: Senior Cook
Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Responsibilities

  • Assist the kitchen team, particularly the short order section, and ensure all preparation operating procedures and dish plating are followed.
  • Manage food and product ordering by keeping detailed records, minimize waste, and work with existing systems to improve waste reduction.
  • Assists the Sous chef with food preparation and service, addressing and correcting bad practices where needed.
  • Ensure the recording and disposal of damaged or out-of-date products accordingly and ensure the safe disposal of all refuse from the kitchen.
  • Allocate and support staff throughout the shift to maintain the speed of food preparation and cleanliness of the kitchen.

Title: Steward / Cashier

Responsibilities

  • Perform all necessary tasks to serve food and beverage according to the service standards and operating manuals of the hotel.
  • Maintenance and up keep of all service equipment / materials.
  • Responsible for getting stock for stores and maintaining hygiene standards in storage.

Title: Accountant II

Duties

  • Perform booking of received funds.
  • Prepare and load journals using accounting desktop integrator into oracle interface.
  • Perform reconciliation of bank/cash account monthly (32 banks, cash and deposit accounts).
  • Perform data entry to oracle AP and GL daily.
  • Download exchange rate from FT and convert to excel weekly.
  • Journalize emergency cash transactions daily and write cash book adjustment daily.
  • Attend to enquires from internal/external auditors and from local/oversea suppliers as they affect treasury functions.
  • Perform book fast track purchase and corporate credit card transactions.
  • Prepare and send remittance advice to payee on foreign payments made through wire transfer.
  • Perform investments management with various banks.

Requirements

  • BSc / HND in Finance and Accounting or related field with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment. Possession of ACA or ACCA is an added advantage.

  • Be proficient with Oracle EBS and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Have usage of Banking platforms and Payroll dynamics experience.

Title: Project Accountant

Duties

  • Ensure preparation of prompt, timely and accurate financial statements to donors.
  • Review from time-to-time project budget and advise budget holder/PM on potential project overrun.
  • Ensure prompt preparation and submission of invoice to donor.
  • Coordinate assigned project Audit during the year.
  • Ensure prompt and accurate computation of annual budgets.
  • Ensure prompt resolution of issues raised by Budget officer/PM.
  • Contribute meaningfully to IITA overall cashflow management.
  • Advise PM on budget burn rate to avoid overrun & ineligible expenses.
  • Support the Institute’s annual audit with relevant schedules and respond to audit queries.
  • Partner’s justification – Timely Justification of partners financial reports.
  • Accurate verification of all partner’s expenses based on support documents submitted with the financial report on assigned projects.
  • Budget monitoring and budget compliance.
  • Ensure project expenditure doesn’t exceed life budget always.
  • Avoid ineligible overrun on each budget line.
  • Eliminate project overrun through budget monitoring and variance analysis/burn rate tracking.
  • Early identification of projects with Overrun potential through the monthly Budget Monitoring report.
  • Prepare accurate and timely overhead and CSP charges at the month end for all active projects.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Masters in Accounting or related field with a minimum of six (6) years’ experience in a well-structured environment or a well-structured environment. Possession of ACA or ACCA is an added advantage.
